Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.
Leo Buscaglia (March 31, 1924 – June 12, 1998), known as "Dr. Love", was an American author, motivational speaker, and professor who championed the power of love and human connection. His best-selling books and engaging lectures made him a cultural icon in the 1980s.

Born in Los Angeles to Italian immigrants, Buscaglia spent part of his childhood in Italy before returning to the U.S. He served in the Navy during World War II and later earned a PhD from the University of Southern California, where he became a professor. Moved by a student’s suicide, he created the noncredit course Love 1A, which inspired his book Love.

His warmth and humor captivated audiences, and his PBS lectures became top fundraisers for public television. He advocated for daily hugs, promoting emotional well-being. Buscaglia passed away in 1998, but his message of compassion and human connection continues to resonate worldwide.
