Joseph B. Wirthlin (June 11, 1917 – December 1, 2008) was an American businessman and religious leader who served as an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ordained in 1986, he was a key figure in the church’s leadership, known for his humility and wisdom.

Born in Salt Lake City, Wirthlin was an athlete in high school and played football at the University of Utah. He later served a mission in Germany and Switzerland before building a successful business career. His church service included roles as a bishop, stake leader, and general authority.
