Ayrton Senna (1960 – 1994) was a Brazilian racing driver and three-time Formula One World Champion. He remains one of the greatest drivers in history, admired for his skill in wet conditions and fearless driving style. During his career, he won 41 races and secured 65 pole positions.

Born in São Paulo, he started karting at 13 and soon dominated lower racing categories. After winning the 1983 British Formula Three Championship, he entered Formula One with Toleman in 1984. Moving to Lotus, he achieved his first victory. His career peaked at McLaren, where he won titles in 1988, 1990, and 1991, engaging in a fierce rivalry with Alain Prost.

In 1994, he joined Williams, but handling issues plagued his season. At the San Marino Grand Prix, Senna crashed while leading, suffering fatal injuries. His death led to major safety reforms in Formula One. To this day, his legacy inspires drivers and fans worldwide.
